School visits to local orchards

Last year around 220 primary school children in the Clyde Valley area visited local orchards. This is a great ourdoor learning experience where children can find out more about their local heritage and wildlife – and have the opportunity to pick and take home some locally grown fresh fruit!

We are continuing with this programme of activities in 2010 - with school visits to orchards, and promoting fruit tree growing and orchards in school grounds. Contact the Orchard Project  if you would like to know more.
